Marangu Route Overview
The Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola route,” is the oldest path up Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s very popular and offers a unique experience. You’ll trek through different climates, from forests to deserts. Plus, you’ll sleep in huts instead of tents, which is quite comfortable.
Expert Advice
While Marangu Route has great views, it can get crowded since it’s the same path for going up and down. If you’re a beginner, consider the 6-day option for a less challenging climb. Also, keep in mind that shorter itineraries might be tougher due to altitude sickness.
